Ebro, as far as is publicly known has never been a rapper.
Also he has previously aired Papoose out, so they arent known to get along.
He has been on air a few times specifically ranting and raving about how he wont take any particular risks on nyc artists just cuz the station is in NYC, and the ratings game controls what the radio will play and how often. And that their is a difference between good underground records and good mainstream records and he might love you as an underground artist and personally bump it, but he is going to play what the metrics say not based off anything else. Basically his stance on the issue is radio plays hits, and once nyc artists are making hit records with metrics to back them up he will play em but not before.
I wouldnt say he is a bad guy at all, he just is a very clear and unapologetic corporate bean counter who absolutely controls nyc radio, and has an extremely risk averse radio programming algorhithm/strategy that has lead to NYC not breaking records for the last 7 years.
