"The Watcher" is a song by Dr. Dre from his 1999 album 2001. It was the fourth and final single from 2001. The song features vocals from Eminem and Knoc-turn'al who sings the hook. It was ghostwritten by New York rapper Nas who appeared uncredited in the album liner notes.

Nah, I meant in the takeover, Jay uses the lines that Nas wrote for Dr Dre in Watcher 1 for the chorus. (get zipped up in plastic, when it happens, that's it).

The original xxploseive had Dre rapping on it. But it got scrapped when the Royce fall out started as the song was finished. So they got the others to rap on it.
