One can point to his many sub 150 yard games as to why no one with a brain would consider him the best on that team.

Oh really, both rely heavily on their run game, both are great game managers, but are very athletic.

I`ll say Russel is slightly better, but he's a dude who rides the team instead of the team riding on him.

Seattle's D was the driving force for the superbowl run. and Earl is the one dude on that D that can't be replaced. his ability to play that single high safety look in their cover 3 scheme is what makes everything go. it allows Kam to play in the box. it allows Sherm to play that aggressive press man coverage.

all of it results from the fact Earl Thomas is the best centerfielder in football.

Perception is reality, most people blowing Peterson probably seen him play once or twice.

He's a flash player, he is great in highlights and his measurables are eye popping, but watch him play a game and he`ll get sonned by mid-level WR's like Michael Crabtree far too often to be considered an elite player

Alex is captain check down and sucks at making plays down field. His arm isn't that good either. Russ is a playmaker, and has a great deep ball. Compare their ypa, not close.

Seattle's defense dominated in the Super Bowl but in the 2 playoff games before Marshawn carried the Seahawks. He had 140 yards and 2 scores against the Saints and ran for over 100 yards and a TD against the Niners defense. Without Marshawn the defense dont get a chance to do what they did against Denver
