The connection is more cosmetic than something built out of a shared history/struggle.

The problem really lies in denying our heritage and taking up an ethnic identity/heritage that did not exist when we were formed in America through mixing of many different people groups.

That is the problem. An ADOS/American Freedman has as much connection to Africa as s/he has to Europe. Ultimately, that "connection" doesn't matter - it's useless. The only thing that matters - and the connection that is meaningful - is the one your ancestors fought and died for. Our ancestors didn't fight and die for Africa, they did so for the USA.

Our only connection is here, in America, not Africa. That doesn't mean we can't ally ourselves with Africans and build with one another, but we have to respect each other as well.

You don't belong to any country or tribe in Africa and your parents down to your x5 grandparents didn't belong to any country or tribe in Africa (correct me if I am wrong), you don't speak any of the languages (correct me if I am wrong), your people have been in America for centuries so you come from dead African tribes and dead kingdoms.

That tells anyone that your connection to the continent is cosmetic, not anything more than that. Elon Musk has a greater connection to Africa than you or your grandparents have.

As far as your DNA... All that is saying is of less than .01% of your DNA you have similar markers (or combination of markers) as the existing reference populations in Africa today. And those are self-reported populations or assumptions made by the person that collected them.

Can't leave out Yvette Carnell. She's always had a disdain for Pan Africanists since they didn't embrace her lifestyle so she couldn't wait to launch something as insidious as what's happening now. She made it clear on numerous occasions that she wants nothing to do with Africa. But something interesting was pointed out on the official ADOS website tho the intentions of the person doing so was more rooted in anger at the inclusion of other Black groups. I think the stench of Tariqs movements widespread use of never ending insults all over social media towards the diaspora is affecting reparations acronyms that at the least
have an actual plan on paper. For ADOS specifically to go this route of back peddling shows that any acronym groups outside Ncobra are all seen in the same light as Tariqs group by elected officials and other important voices that would fall under the ADOS label.
