The kickstarter was OK'd by sega and already planned out before Sony's involvement. Sony is not investing a significant sum of money.

The game and the kickstarter would exist without Sony's involvement.

The only thing Sony did was play off people's nostalgia to earn cool points while fukking up the chances/momentum of the kickstarter. And forcing YU into some vague corporate speak, which is the exact opposite of what kickstarter is supposed to be about.

If Sony was just funding the game outright, that would be great.

There's plenty if info out there. All types of conflicting confused shyt, but the fact of the matter is the majority of funding is coming from kickstarter. Its undisclosed how much Sony is helping, but Yu has been clear that they are not fully funding the game.

Basically both Sony and Yu are towing the line on answering the questions.
