I don't really see the Nas comparison but KRIT is dope nonetheless and definitely needs to be mentioned when you're talking best rappers since 2010, but he rarely get's the nod

Yeah there's dudes who got hits or whatever and are more mainstream but if we're talking the quality of music KRIT is up there easily

I agree, Def Jam and his earlier management dropped the ball on his introduction to the hip-hop audience. He's better than JCole in every way

He most likely had complete artistic freedom, we blame the label for giving artist artistic freedom and we blame them for forcing people to work with big names, do features with big names etc.

Dude came out like this, very basic song and says nothing about the artist.



Then when that didn't work exactly like he wanted it to he came out like this, good song but it just sounds like another pop song but with mixed with hard rapping.





He just doesn't have the IT-factor, knowing how to make music that resonates with a wider audience and taking advantage of what's popping. At the same time not creative or working with good enough producer to be ahead of the curve. He was confused about how he wanted to his commercial approach to be received.

That doesn't take away from his talent or the fact that is albums are better than Coles (although I still hold verse/EP/mixtape Cole higher).
