It's kinda funny coming from Waka of all people, dude been irrelevant for what 4 years? His mom's gets more press these days them him so it makes sense.. :heh:
Wacka might be irrelevant in rap but he is making money in EDM and a lot more than when he was a big street rapper...

So what is relevance :heh:

Streets don't buy shyt, smart nikkaz learn this and move on with their musical focus

Funny seeing people saying what happened to dude. He's more relevant musically and making more money than he's ever been.. Just not in in Rap/hip hop circles..

He ditched us for that Baaur, Steve Aoki turn down for what, electro house wave just like Lil Jon and Just Blaze. I ain't mad tho, get ya paper
He didn't ditch us we never supported like cacs do... True story

i get why this dude tweeted this now

Can't believe once upon a time Diplo was actually an artist and a respectable producer.

He's neither now. Just a trendhopper and dikkrider that hops one whatever is hot or "trending" and exploits it...shyt...not even good at that...and culture vulture number 1. Taking the music of underground scenes from the hood (B-More, Philly Club, Juke, Bounce, etc) and from the favelas (zouk, baile funk, kuduro, etc) and makes it marketable for suburban american teenagers. But yeah...incredibly callous.

I can't remember the last time I heard a Diplo track that wasn't featuring atleast two other producers.

No he didn't. StAHP! EDM was a thing long before waka even touched a microphone. Really the people who birthed this current EDM scene were people like Diplo, A-Trak, Deadmau5, Justice, and Daft Punk indirectly along with others. Back in 2006-2008 it was just some blog hipster tastemaker stuff...then dubstep blew up around 2010...then Skrillex blew up in like 6 months...then Baauer came with that trap EDM stuff along with Carnage and DJ Snake...then it just all became mainstream and cheesy with Electric Daisy Ultra Music Tomorrowland type festivals that just milked the scene til it couldn't even be underground anymore. Waka had absolutely nothing to do with it other than being that rapper that had a couple of his tracks spun by dubstep and trap djs...(dubstep morphed into trap IMO).

REally before then, EDM was just rave...really EDM is that all encapsulating term made to market electronic music and all of it's subgenres under one umbrella.

I'm a white boy that grew up raving.... Waka ain't done shyt that Uncle Luke or Jam Pony did in '89 for EDM...
EDM is now electro or dubstep/trapstep (for the rap influenced shyt) for mainstream shyt. House birthed electro.... Danny Teneglia birthed more in one set than Waka will ever. Not hating but let's not act like EDM isn't its own diverse category of music...

Diplo has been shyt, all new "producers" who would have just been DJs in the past are shytty.
Now Deorro... Fire shyt... Bout the only new DJ I check for.

Fact is if you are a rapper turned EDM, maybe you shouldn't make fun of other rappers? :manny: Let's not pretend like Waka was an amazing rapper with amazing range :pachaha:maybe he should start beefs with paris hilton and aoki
