Social media really made people forget how ill Wale is. He's versatile like not many other rappers. He can hit you with poetry, bar you up with clever wordplay, rap about conscious shyt, give you hits, tell stories, and give you some of the best relationship records in the genre

Alot of rappers make cringe records when they're about women. But Wale is way different. This one song is not only quality, but it takes a look into the psyche of the "broken" women other rappers would probably brag about hitting. Wale is different

Wale needs his flowers. Nothing can take away from his talent and ability to create art. He has songs that will live forever

This is one of the MANY songs he has that was underappreciated



He's one of the Blog Era GOATS. His legacy will speak for itself when it's all said and done

If he "shut his mouth" would he really have gotten the attention he's deserved since 2008?

KRIT is a humble down to earth cat. Doesn't use social media that much. Doesn't do many press runs. He is underappreciated even more than Wale

The real issue is the type of music they both make. Wale has music that's more popular to the general population. Poke It Out, Lotus Flower Bomb, On Chill

These aren't the type of songs I personally enjoy. But these are hits. And he still doesn't get the love he deserves

KRIT hasn't made records in that lane that sold. He has never gone platinum. The problem isn't really his personality. It's what's "marketable". Funny enough, he knew this was the reality before he even signed with MMG





He isn't where Kendrick is because besides the point of not making marketable music on the level of Kendrick, but Wale is a regional artist. If you aren't from the DMV, some of the stuff he raps about will go over your head

Kendrick was able to combine conscious with the club. He makes mainstream music with substance. That balance is hard to achieve. For example: Wale, KRIT, Lupe, and countless more artists

Wale is one of the many who deserve way more credit. It's on the industry and consumers. It's not on him. And honestly, if he was never a social media presence, he wouldn't even get the attention and popularity he has now

The most prominent DMV artist of all time. Bringing Go-Go to the mainstream. Bringing Soul back to the mainstream pre-Kendrick TPAB

One of the best lyricists of the Blog Era. Has some of the greatest mixtapes of all time

He's a poet. An artist. An MC in the purest form
