There is no way you can say Wale is better after the run Cole has had since KOD to present day.

You nikkas are delusional and I know both of these artists well.
KOD was trash to me, I much preferred FHD, FNL, Warm Up..

This is as much as a draw can be for me , but Wale aside from a couple misses, has a real strong discography.

They also have got each other on tracks. Wale clearly ate this up.

It’s close if you like both guys and been listening to them from the start , at least for me.

So we're going to ignore the feature appearance run, The Dreamville projects and The Off-Season album?

I said since KOD, I wasn't even including it.

When is the last time Wale had a memorable verse that got any type of buzz?

Cole this year alone with his verses on Benny's song and that London track are harder than any Wale verse I've heard in years. Cole flipping Drake's Pipe Down beat and just bodied it with bars etc.

Cole is one of the rare hip-hop artists that I've ever seen really get better with his pen this many years in the game. Where as Wale has peaked a while ago and doesn't even sound like he's enjoying making music

Huge huge fan of both but J Cole just edges.

I know he can be a cornball at times and it’s cool to clown him here, but you can’t tell me the guy that made Ambition, Gifted. 11.1.11, Album/Mixtape/More About Nothing & Folarin 2 ain’t one of the best rappers of his generation.

Wale is washed Atp

All of MMG is washed based on their most recent releases.

People that are picking Wale are doing so based on old bodies of work

Outside of Folarin 2, everything else you listed dropped before 2015.

And Folarin 2 was not some highly touted release, and it for sure is not touching The Off-Season

:jbhmm: :jbhmm::jbhmm: This could be a thread. In fact it may have been a thread already, since Wale not breaking through has been a topic numerous times here
Yeah there was a thread about him like a year or two ago.

But it's true though. Just going off anecdotal observation, most of his music appeals to "urban" women. (Mainly black women but also Latinas and other races that maneuver in black crowds)

I'll take J. Cole..

His albums and mixtapes have far more replay value to me.

Wale is too emotional for me. Not my acquired taste. Only a few songs though.

It doesn't help that Wale acts like a diva
