Um, you must not be a Wale Stan then. Because Wales first tape 100 Miles and Runnin (which I've had since I was like 15, I'm 21 now) was mainly go-go music, his style has drastically changed, and I don't just mean his flow I mean his beats as well.

So I guess paint a picture never existed. False flagging fukk out my face.

And you right about the OG Gogo sound. But Gogo isn't a nationwide sound. Its local. he isnt a local rapper anymore. He wasn't a strictly Gogo beat rapper anyways. He did pretty girls when he first got on and now he moving on to different sounds. Nobody sounds exactly the same as they did when they first started. But he's still the same wale from before MmG just a more matured artist.

And the Get me doe song off the Folarin tape was structured like a Go Go joint, you even hear the background noise like on a Go Go tape (and the interlude is a Go Go type breakdown), so I don't think he's completely moved away from some of the older sound, but like FMJU stated, in order to broaden his appeal, he had to move toward a more nationally appealing type of sound. No hate here, even though I'm a city nikka through and through, I want to see the youngin win, and he still drops DC style records from time to time anyway, so it's all good with me.

i recently realized that i might be a wale fan without really noticing it.
i listen to him quite a bit.
never understood the wale=trash movement on the net.
not saying he's the best,but dude drops quality music.

i believe that this song alone is better than anything he has done with MMG



wale just too nice and real on this one and chrisette michelle - god damn that voice!!!
and the album as a whole is also full of dope songs!!

but i still believe that without the MMG move dude would by now have moved into obscurity!!!
as good as attention deficit and some of his tapes were - no one seemed to care.
i mean dude had a song with gaga and his shyt still flopped
