:scusthov: i could see if you said The Mixtape About Nothing (first one) or even Back to the Feature

but outside of 3-5 tracks i couldn't fukk with 100 Miles n Runnin like that

He sounds hungry on 100 miles. Plus it sounds like pure Wale. Hasnt been influenced by the rap game too much. That to me is his last gogo/rap cd.

Mixtape about Nothing is hot.

The feature tape....he got outshined too much for me to really consider it...probably my least played Wale tape:yeshrug:

I agree he may have some good songs here and there, but his most complete and only listenable one for me was mixtape about nothing

I dont know about this one. He arguably made better music beatwise but its not like his beats are bad now either at least to me. And he was probably gonna be forgotten about and considered a no hit wonder before he signed with MMG. So i think it worked out for him ok, because no one was really checking for Wale like that around my way until he linked up with Ross.

As a Wale stan i gotta disagree. While his best project came out before MMG, Camel was just gonna throw him in the bushes after AD. His style really hasn't changed that much. He just got money now and he on one of the biggest labels out right now damn near outselling the label head.

He got the right to be cocky, get so much cut disc jockeys jock heem :blessed:

Um, you must not be a Wale Stan then. Because Wales first tape 100 Miles and Runnin (which I've had since I was like 15, I'm 21 now) was mainly go-go music, his style has drastically changed, and I don't just mean his flow I mean his beats as well.

disagree, only thing i miss about old wale is at least the attempts at being humble and paying respect to the past and his influences, he gives no fukks now

also if you listen to something like the new shyt folarin, he seems to be able to straddle the pre- and post-MMG just fine. he do be corny in his interactions with fans, i'll never respect how he acts on twitter :beli:

also :rudy: if you don't like bait or chain music

he lived and breathed that DMV and especially DC shyt in the earlier music. so its like i said, i miss him being humble and him talking about his beginnings and his influences

but he's a better rapper now than he ever was before in terms of being an overall star

shut up nikka.

Why does a rapper need to be humble on the mic?

Was dope before..and still is dope. Only thing changed is he has better production. He still spitting..and he always was good at making commercial songs but keeping dope songs on the album. And nobody is seeing him on the female rap songs outside of Drake. He pretty much is doing what Fab was suppose to do all those years.
