Wale Been in the Game for Almost a Decade without a Definitive Sound/Style

The problem is he DOES have a definitive sound/style but he continually goes away from it.

Ambition is the BEST example of Wale when he's 100% in the pocket and doing his style to the fullest. I don't understand WHY he can't stay in his lane. I understand the need to "experiment" and "branch out" but Goddamn some of this shyt is fukking WACK and not worthy of an artist of his stature.


Black Gold should've been his single, Groundhog Day should've been his "Street"'single. And the whole middle portion of Shine should've NEVER seen the light of day

I never got into Wale. How does this project compare to his other ones? What are his best projects?

Underwhelming. Not bad, but not touching previous work. All of his previous albums are better than this. Ambition and Album About Nothing are the highlights of his discography. More About Nothing, Eleven One Eleven, and Folarin are his mixtapes worth a download as well.

Album kinda grew on me but its easily his weakest effort. Damn shame this is added to the catalog that has ambition the gifted Album about nothing and 11-1-11 theory.

This is the worst project....mixtapes included. The good news is if you like this, he might become your favorite rapper after you listen to his good-great stuff.

He more talented than the content he puts out. He need to do some soul searching and find himself like Cole did with 2014 Forest Hill because he got one more album before he gets completely written off.

He need to just do him. Quality speaks for itself. The gifted and Album about nothing proves that.

The thing is Wale himself wants to be bigger then he is so this album he's hit chasing. So he lost his true fans and he didn't gain the casual fans cause Wale still doesn't do anything better then the people putting out hits.

Album about nothing is the definition of a perfect album. How in the world does he follow that up with this?

The good thing is he can still bounce back. His past catalog deserves at least one more chance.
