Album forgettable and I'm a wale fan.

Imma listen some more maybe it will click later .

The gifted is one of my fav albums in the last couple years so this one is just so to me .

I kinda feel the same way... I honestly think that he gave away too much free material leading up to this album. Some of the songs that he released over the last year and some that were on Festivus should have been held back to go on this album. These songs come to mind...

The Followers
The Deep End (ft. Pusha T)
Keep It Moving (ft. Ab-Soul)
Chess

Those songs are easily album quality... I'm assuming he didn't want the features. I'd say if you replace...

The Middle Finger
The God Smile
The Success

with a variation of the songs I listed initially the album would be better. And the crazy thing is, he wasn't even going to put Girls on Drugs on this album until his fans were like "Why isn't this an album cut" on twitter

I gave it 2 spins and right now it's like a 7 to me.

yes its his best body of work by far .

I don't know breh I'm very disappointed in wale and its sad. I thought breh was moving in the right direction its funny how true fans not feeling it but the nikkas that hate him love it

The sequence of the songs is kinda odd, but the production and flow of the sequence makes it work. I'm saying it's odd cuz of the content and how it ended.

I think this is the first Wale album I've listened to in full and thought this was pretty good. Thank god Summer League wasn't on this cuz that is so ass.

Ayo I had "Need To Know" on repeat last night. SZA did her fukkin thing on that hook. If its one thing Wale knows how to do is make smooth ass jawns like this. Definitely the best song on this jawn, at least for me anyway. Solid album but as of right now, I still fukk with More About Nothing than this one. Still a good album doe as 2015 continues to shine with good ass music.

I think its unfair y'all comparing this to The Gifted...I think that's Wale climax album. That album is a personal classic to me. This album is good though.

everyone got an opinion right.

but Chain Music, MMGenius, Dont Hold Your Applause, Miami Nights, No Days Off, Legendary, DC Or Nothing are pound for pound creating a better album. White Linen too. Track for track name the Gifted aint even close in my opinion.

I find it very unlikely that most people would agree with you. In fact...in Toronto the Gifted is considered damn near a weedplate. Did you bump ambition when it first dropped?
