Real fukking shyt in this vlog man. One of the reasons I rock with this dude, despite the fact that the nikka personally can be corny sometimes, despite the fact that the youngin can get in his feelings more than a dude should is the fact that there's some depth to him. I'm not saying the brother's Nas or Mos Def or nothing and shyt's relative when you're talking about a mainstream type of dude, and everyone's inherently a mix of principles and contradictions, but the homie can write about and obviously thinks about shyt that's more substantive than your typical young rapping nikka. That DC or Nothing track on Ambition, that Black Heroes and Georgetown Press and Heavens Afternoon and other joints like it show that, at the very least, the dude isn't just out here myopically thinking about superficial shyt and ignoring the type of issues afflicting the community out here and in places like Chicago and New Orleans and places like that around the country. Six people got shot out here Saturday night; shyt isn't like it was out here when we use to have 400 murders a year in DC, but there's still entrenched destitution and violence and all that stuff man, and the dude, despite the fact that he doesn't necessarily share the same type of life experiences as me or other people out here, concerns himself with the shyt on a consistent basis. He linked up with Tony Lewis Jr way back in the day (one of the realist dudes you'll meet btw), and they do stuff out here for these underprivileged young people. I respect that shyt way more than the quality of music the nikkas putting out.

Im like most people on here, I don't care how nice you are, I'm not copping your album unless I mess with a dudes movement or what he stands for. I know that's why a bunch of people on here ain't running with Wale, because they don't fukk with the type of dude he is, at least on some levels and I respect that. I'm just going on the record about why I'm copping the joint Tuesday. Not necessarily just because the joint is a dope album, not just because he fell out of his mother near where I did the same, but I fukk with what the dude stands for in some respects. I fukks with the perseverance of that dude, I respect that the youngin grew up in the DC area at a time when dudes was getting they shyt cracked at the highest rate in the country, was an outsider that was laughed at and bullied and shyt for being African, rose above that to do something great, and still works to help and offer guidance and inspiration for these kids.

^didnt realize how much profanity I use when I post until just now. Give me a minute, ima clean that up so that the post is more coherent.

Edit: edited a lot of the profanity out of my last post so that people could read it without having to play madlibs.

Simple Man is my favorite beat so far. Wish Wale would find his voice already, the beats and everything else are enough that you'll forgive him still sounding the same on a lot of the songs. I wanna call this a personal classic but I gotta give it a few weeks and see.

I know his "flow"gets some hate on here but personally I fukks with it. When he starts going crazy with the multis I be like :lupe::ooh::obama:

And to think we still getting "Album about Nothing" before the end of the year!
