Not everybody on here is a Stanley :manny:

There's great songs on the album like lovehate, bad, the intro, 88, black heroes and then there's some average to garbage tracks like clappers, vanity this album is too all over the place

You don't have to be a Stan to think this shyt is dope. I consider myself a supporter more than a Stan, primarily because I don't blindly stamp everything the nikka does, but to me, this shyt is a sensational album. Of course, thats subjective though, so it's definitely cool with me if someone on here disagrees. shyt, if it's a legitimate critique, nikkas can be as critical as they want. The only lame shyt, and the thing that detracts from this site is when hating ass, agenda driven nikkas pop up just to hate. From what I know of you though, you ain't out here trolling, so I respect your opinion on the matter.

You're right I ain't hating, on the other hand I see niccas that was blatantly hating on Cole project and praising this I now see their whole point :laff:

I fvck with Wale heavy, been a fan since Nikes and I was sincerely glad for the homie when he came back to the mainstream. My only concern is that now since folarin he's been trying to make too many different type of records in one album, it's the old "I got something for everybody in my next album" and personally I'd like a more focused project from one of the best writers of this new generation

u from cali so u dont get it...

every song has GoGo elements to it esp 88...he reppin the dmv sound heavy.

got damn @ Blaze flippin a gogo sample

u just dont undetstand

I know what he's trying to do, and I respect that but just cuz he's trying to use GoGo elements is not going to make songs like Clappers or Vanity good to me :manny:

I personally think this album is dope.

Call me crazy.

7/10.
Only song that made me :what: was Clappers.

Everything else was :ohlawd::ehh::ohhh:

Clappers ideally shoulda been a bonus track since it doesn't really jibe with the rest of the album, but the dude probably thinks that he has a hit with that joint and he has artist the caliber of Nicki and Juicy on there, so he probably felt compelled to include it on the joint as a regular track. I can see critics knocking him for having a song like that in the middle of an album with the feel and flow of this one, but it's going to be a big record for him, especially in the DC area. The DMV is eating that joint up with a spoon.

Love this album. So soulful with dope lyrics for the most part, reminds me of the Blueprint, although not quite as good, but that's not a slight on Wale seeing as the Blueprint is one of the top 10 albums of the last 15 years.

Yes, the soulful production on rap albums was abused in the early 2000's, and despite this album being devoid of anything groundbreaking in that sense, it still didn't hamper the album from being excellent.

Mainstream rap has been so shyt the past decade that I'm just happy to hear a nikka that takes his lyrics serious produce a dope album that is also likely to do well on the charts (Ditto Cole, although I think this album is better than Born sinner).

The soul production on here is a different take from what you had in the early 2000s. Much more lush sounding with live instruments (as opposed to just looping an old vocal sample over some drums). When I heard stokely Williams was gonna work on the album I knew the production would be flames. My only problem is its kind of overwhelming at certain points and wales saying some real shyt here that can get drowned out

Clappers grew on me, I don't think I'll ever like rotation and that neyo song isn't bad, its just there. Everything else I fukk with

Oh and everyone who hates yeezus should check out this album. Both albums will be in my rotation all summer tho, wale during the day, yeezus at night :whew:
