Wale is the oatmeal of rap.

Blandest rapper in the game. A more entertaining rapper would have done these beats some justice.

I thought Born Sinner was better on first listen, but I find myself listening to The Gifted more often now, guess it has better replay value.

Born Sinner is a great album to me, but The Gifted is just better.

Wale covered every single base with this album. It gets better with every listen.

originally from the 'ville
FINALLY got around to listening to this... played it at work yesterday. Production is :wow: and wale definitely spitting (i'm not going to say he's improved, because he's been spitting).

Very well done from wale, I wasn't a big fan of the middle section on first listen (the ne-yo song, rotation) although clappers kinda goes.

I'd still put Born Sinner over this (been playing that album heavy) but congrats to Wale on a great album that i'll probably cop once I get my money right :skip:

Some good hip hop albums have came out the last few weeks most notably Cole's joint and Jay's joint, both are good albums but none of the tracks on either album is fukking with the venom known as "88" man that is my shyt..it just does something special to my soul I can't explain it :wow: the workday is just :ohlawd:

It was all a dream, it was all a dream
Never Michael Jeffrey in 17s, I'm staying with my team
No bullshyt loyalty rare
And don't worry 'bout it shawty we here
:wow:

Black Heroes is an underrated gem that I didn't see mentioned much in this thread...I can't wait for The Album About Nothin

Honestly, this is my album of the year so far..

Reason being:

Yeezus was... well, we all know what that was...

MCHG was ok, I believe that I expected too much and that's probably why I wasn't blown away by it... :snoop:

With the Wale album, I really wanted dude to win this go round because of his consistancy. I listened to this album all the way through in one sitting and was surprised when it ended because it was THAT GOOD. :whoo:

I'm glad he didn't let Ross ruin it with a whole bunch of trap songs, this album actually shows his diversity as an artist.

As a fan of Wale,
Since 2007,
I would have to say,
I'm not impressed with this album,
Ambition,
Set him in a higher position,
I thought this album would elevate from that,
