Are you african american? If so how do you rationalize the fact that one of your ancestors born in this country most likely was of mixed race?
I came from enslaved africans who had no agency over their sexuality. It's almost a certainty one of them was raped or breed with native americans, etc. I'm dark skin but ALOT of my family members are light skin despite having two black parents which supports my assumption that we are not "pure african" at this point.
Just curious how african americans can use this logic that a biracial person is not black in an american culture that defines them as black.
