This nikka wale spent all last week in cali holding conferences and trying to promote this shyt to wrestling fans.
Simple fact is Wale is not Cole or kendrick. He already flopped on his debut with the whole serious, mature tone. Time to get back on that MMG wave with jhalil beats and meek mill features for the next album

The Need To Know's hook is from a classic record of Musiq Soulchild's though.
When I think about it... Wale's biggest hits are songs where vocalists kill the hooks and carry the records low key.

But so are Cole's. Power Trip had Miguel, Work Out had that Kanye sample if we're being real. K. Dot had Drake on Poetic Justice and Swimming Pools sounded similar to other hot shyt despite it's message. None of those dudes sell Big singles on their own except Sean and Drake.
Maybe... but then there would have been a lot of people who remember that Musiq song vividly when it was released and would have just chalked it up as Wale leaching on to something again
That song isn't THAT old, and a lot of people that still check for hiphop know exactly where he got that song from. It's one thing to sample something, but breh literally just had Sza sing the exact same hook that we've all heard before.
I agree that a lot of 'hits' need that R&B feature, but I was just mainly saying that Wale's joint with SZA is different because with those other songs, at least they came up with a new hook for the songs... even if they were sampled.
Wale took the whole hook and had somebody else sing a cover for it.
I think The Matrimony is what he should have pushed honestly. That song is going to have people walking down the aisle to it
