How fukked is the music business now? For those old enough to remember how much an average album sold in the late 90's, it's just crazy to see cats celebratin' movin' 100K. Artists are just happy to go "half gold" now. Just for perspective, Q-Tip's Amplified album sold 700K, with no promotion. Dudes will be everywhere nowadays, promoting heavily, tours, mixtapes, online interviews, social media, etc, and still can't break 350K.

At some point you gotta start lookin' at the "fans". If you're really try'na support, spend that bread. Albums are floppin' weekly out here.
