What do you do for calf exercises?

Honestly, my calves are mostly genetic. shyts are gigantic.

That said, I still work the shyt outta them.

I do legs twice a week, and do a couple calf exercises each time.

I've found it important to do a variety of foot angles (toes in/out) to get best results.

My favorite is either burnouts on the leg press machine (usually superset with presses), or crazy dropsets on seated calf raise. Stack 25s till you can't do more than 8 or so....pull the top one off and do till near failure. Repeat until one 25 plate left. (I use 45s, but like I said, my shyts are god given).

thanks. Yeah, I'm starting to realize that calves are largely genetic :sadcam:

I think back to a kid in 6th grade who had huge muscular calves back then and his dad was very athletic.

I'll usually do mine on the leg press and sometimes the calf raise, but never to failure. Maybe I should try that.

It's the only area I'm not really happy with.
I'm thankful though b/c I see some dudes in teh gym everyday with me and their upper body never seems to develop much. That's one area I build up FAST.
