The italian families being strong or weak has nothing to do with it. The Italian mafia doesn't have the numbers in the pen to really change or influence the structure AB has over the white gangs in there. The big prison gangs are basically the big mafia families in prison and it doesn't matter if you're a high ranking Russian mafia cat... if you get thrown in an American prison... you're either going to fall in line with them or get left to fend for yourself.... or find some other group that'll take you.

It absolutely has everything to do with being weak or weakened compared to where they were in the past when you got a guy on Gotti's level getting touched up and nothing being done about it...and having to run to outsiders for protection. This woulda been unheard of in the 60's/70's on back (back when there wasn't even a such thing as a "aryan brotherhood")

When you on the level of a John Gotti or any major crime family boss, Italian, Russian whatever. you establish connections with all sorts of powerful folks that are in the same business as they are...across ethnic boundaries...Mafia families in the past had networks and connections in place in federal penitentiaries to prevent things like this from happening...so yeah, it's a surefire sign of :flabbynsick:

Again what u fail to see is the Italian mafia was never a prison gang. The AB was created in prison specifically for survival in prison and they've evolved from that.. the Italian mafia in America hasn't. Regardless of how weak or influential the mob is.. they never had the numbers or pull in prison to prevent the AB's from forming.

and right prior to the 60's the AB didn't exist. Neither did the Mexican mafia nor the BGF as they are today.. they had to establish themselves within the prison system unlike the Italian mob. Once those groups established themselves the old way of running things in the pen went out the window. The streets and the pen are 2 different ball games..

man :scust: to all you nikkas

for years, anytime someone mentions prison, we get the same old scaredy ass posts

"b-b-b-b-b-but some nobody was terrorizing john gotti up in there" "b-b-b-b-b-but gotti couldn't even do anything" "b-b-b-b-b-but gotti died in prison being someone's bytch"

nah a nikka got called a ****** to his face, didn't do nothing.... came back the next day and hit him and beat his ass.... like anybody couldn't beat up some old italian guy

and what happened next

immediate PC... getting protection... can't even move around right... 100k on your head... and nikkas is taking the contract asap :mjcry:

that's power... and money.... but a lot of power too.. i'll take an ass whopping for that
You sound like a cac. Sound soft as fukk. You sound like the type of bytch nikka that I don't like. A black man beats the shyt out of a mob boss escapes getting killed for 100k and then gets out of jail. While the mob boss wastes money and dies of cancer in jail. And the thing that comes to your mind is this p*ssy fukk nikka shyt?:scust:

Where exactly is the power in getting beat up wasting 100k and dying of cancer while the black man strolls out of prison untouched?

:scust:

Not sure if it was mentioned but he got stabbed up pretty good in n Texas if I'm not mistaken. He survived and is somewhere in the system and unknown where. Duke is a legend though to be murkin cops and whoopin Gotti's azz. The story made the AB look too opportunistic to me though, not that it matters. Still, if it's true they paid him to lean on Gotti knowing the Teflon Don would go running back into their arms, why take Gotti's offer of any price to have him hit? I mean I know why as greed is everything, still it exposed how treacherous the AB was and still is.

It happens all the time... prison is a whole different animal than the streets...don't buy into that goodfellas shyt... them mafia dudes get knocked out to

The biggest thing that surprises me though is the fact how he got his ass beat and there was no immediate retaliation or intervention. Was he the only one in his crew in that particular prison?

Gotti was a boss who plan and have others do his work... he wasn't a hot head who would immediately handle it.

Plus he was in Illinois not new york, so im pretty sure there probably wasn't any connects in there that's why he turned to the Aryan brotherhood for help..

He deserved to get laid out but he was flabby n sick and was prolly lucky it got broke up :lolbron:

Polarizing human being but major piece of shyt. Read quite a few books on him over the years, dude was scared of Roy Domeo big time.
He was also scared of Greg "Grim Reaper" Scarpa. Scarpa was hired to go after Gotti after Gotti had the Castilano killed, so Gotti had his men preemptively put a hit on Scarpa. Scarpa was with his kids in his car and Gotti goons miss, so from that point on Scarpa starts dropping Gambinos to the point Gotti had no choice but to call a truce and be officially the boss of bosses. But Gotti was a joke within the other families. One thing Big Paul had over Gotti he was about the business. Keep the bodies to minimum, keep the profits coming in.

I'll put it like this Castilano was Stringer Bell and Gotti was Avon.
