bc he's a plant....most of the industry and sheeple fans gonna cape for himDrake exposed!!!!! . . why the fukk isn't this stickied?
real talk. dude is on some final boss shyt
on some of what you wrote... the whole rap game damn near was on Run-DMC's coattails at one point. And besides, it's not like LL was writing all their shyt, he wrote "Can You Rock it Like This" for them. Conversely, Run-DMC wrote two songs for the Beastie Boys as well. Kane wrote "Nobody Beats the Biz", "Vapors", and "Pickin Boogers" for Biz and "Have A Nice Day" for Roxanne Shante. Treach wrote "Latifah's Had it Up To Here" for Latifah. Apache wrote "UNITY" for Latifah. Puba wrote a couple songs for Lyte.
And even tho' these things happened, most of these artists wrote the vast majority of their own lyrics. It doesn't make them or the songs any less great. And how's it obvious that new dudes have ghostwriters if we don't even know the people who are supposedly writing for them... and is it even ghostwriting if the writers are clearly credited? This is just like when Kanye was claiming he was "ghostproducing" for D-Dot when the whole time his name was credited on tracks dating back to 1998.
that Run DMC aren't considered top tier lyricists? I know that they aren't looked at as always being ghostwritten but they NEVER were considered elite spitters. They are a legendary hip hop act and were always respected but never placed in the realm of Kanes and LLs and Rakims and KRSs. And which one of those MCs you named as having songs written for them are considered elite spitters and usually named in GOAT lists? Latifah? Biz? Roxanne Shante? I used to always see MC Lyte in GOAT talks when I was a kid until it was exposed that she was heavily ghostwritten. Now she's hardly mentioned in ANY GOAT talks because of that. Her reputation took a hit. There is no MC from those previous generations that are usually mentioned with the great MCs that are known to have had a bunch of ghostwritten material. If there is one, please let me know. Maybe I'm missing something
I was talking about OVO Hush or whoever was brought up earlier in the threadThat's not his boy, it's another dude from Atlanta who doesn't live here...not unlike Makkonnen.

because...he didn't, and Meek always rapped like that
Ever heard his old shyt? Dude had a real buzz, not one you buy.
nikka I'm from Philly I used to watch Meek's battles on YouTube when I was in HS. I remember when people thought Reed Dollaz was better than him and I remember when they played "In My Bag" on the radio out here. Trust me the 1st part of Lord Knows sounds like Tory. Doesn't matter to me I know that's the business they're in especially when they're making an album.
shyt sound like Tory to me and this nikka did the hook.

*Meek Mills phone rings*
Nicki: Meek, who is Prince, J?
