Yeah he should go officer... They accept a lot of old ass people but you got to have crazy degrees and it's usually in the medical field

But you can get waivers for pretty much anything including age

Unless you were a jtac/pj/deal I highly doubt active component will allow you back in Now the guard may have something for you what is your Re code on your 214 what was your afsc/rate when you left and are you a cyber background guy that can help you also.

At this point in your life you aren’t a priority recruit so some recruiters may be willing to work with you but most I’ll just place you on the back burner until they have a slow month.

As long as you not infantry, your odds of being in a killzone is low as fukk.

What a lot of people are forgetting is that he doesn’t have the same options as a 34 year old off of the streets would have...Since he his prior service his options are limited as if he is a current in service Service member...

Also if he has a degree he will still need to find an officer recruiter and even than not all degrees are created the same he will likely need a stem degree, medical, lawyer, religious. And even with that as a prior service they want you to have expierence.

I really think his best bet is to join the national guard and than to apply for active duty.
