What a lot of people are forgetting is that he doesn’t have the same options as a 34 year old off of the streets would have...Since he his prior service his options are limited as if he is a current in service Service member...
Also if he has a degree he will still need to find an officer recruiter and even than not all degrees are created the same he will likely need a stem degree, medical, lawyer, religious. And even with that as a prior service they want you to have expierence.
I really think his best bet is to join the national guard and than to apply for active duty.
