Because you get nikkas like AI that still act like they are 22 when they are 38. When you are a professional, face of a business and they are putting millions of dollars in your pocket, those folks aren't trying to hear about the Dynasty Raiders fukking up nikkas on wax. There are higher expectations of you. It is simply what it is. You get money to remove yourself from that element.

Nah Bruh. This aint the case at all...You give a 20 year old a million dollar paycheck and he will show you who he really is. Money does not expedite the maturation process....Only young black males are expected to exude the behavior of a professional CEO at 21 because they earn 120k a week....:smh:

Because you're not looking at it from a corporate POV. No matter how YOU feel about it, the NBA/NFL are still businesses. Those rock heads and savages are employees of the businesses, these nikkaz get paid millions to play a SPORT, is it too much to ask that they conduct themselves a certain way in public?

Sound like you got a lil hate in ya. Where you get it twisted at is calling them employees...That's what you are...They however, are commodities.....Rules are different for professional athletes

I'm not resentful at all, but these aren't nikkaz playing ball on a court in the neighborhood. They are brands. The NFL and NBA are businesses, why can't they ask their employees to conduct themselves in a reasonable manner? Again, I'm not talking about a dress code or anything like that, I'm just talking about watching what you say when being interviewed. Is that really too much to ask of a grown man?
You keep using code words like "reasonable manner"..

Lemme ask you this...

Who decides what's "reasonable" or not?

The consumer right?

Well unless they are a monolith that all thinks a certain way in lockstep I don't see wasting the effort into trying to pander..You will always win and lose some, but at the end of the day the product is what has to stand as the main draw...

Lets just be clear and stop dancing around the issue.. This is ALL about catering to whites in middle America..

Because nobody else really cares at the end of the day.. Riley Cooper can scream about killing n1ggers and Black people still rock Eagles gear with pride...The league doesn't cater to us so why should our athletes cater to them?

Where do you nikkaz see "hate"? I have an Eagles logo as my avatar, why would I hate professional athletes and be on a sports forum? And apparently the rules aren't all that different for professional athletes since they still get fined and suspended for the trouble they get in to OUTSIDE the league

If a 19 yr old Marine makes a mistake in Kabul, his life could pretty much be over.

That's how I look at it. :yeshrug:

That's his profession though and as you stated it's a life and death profession. Young people in the military get drunk and act a fool during their down time like everybody else their age. Many of the criticisms levied at young athletes are based on off-court/field behavior not what they do on the field/court.

I think it's all about jealousy. The people coming down on these kids are generally people who are mad they didn't get to live that life so they take their frustration on those who did. Unless a guy is doing something that can get him or someone else seriously hurt or locked up I don't see what the problem is. Young nikkas are gonna act like young nikkas. Especially when they have been babied and sucked off (literallly and figuratively) since they were 8.

If you getting paid your a slave to the needs and desires of the people writing the checks. If they want you as a 20-25 year old to act mature than that's what your gonna have to do for the money. You can always say fukk that and do whatever you want but it comes at the risk of your check. I personally don't see what's wrong with it, personal responsibility is premium so if you want to act an ass it'll fukk with your money.

What exactly is so :childplease: about his post?

The ignorance of capitalism and the leeway it grants when you have a lucrative skill that less than 1% of the global population has.....

These guys get checks, but they can make demands as well because of their rare talents..This gives them extreme leverage.....And they are not at the whims of the organization, but of middle America and corporate sponsors, who are most of the consumers.

Define acting "mature"

All that is required is to not catch a felony and stay out of trouble for the most part and put a good product out on the floor/field. That's it...Which is in essence the same set of requirements for most young adults.....

What exactly is going on with "athletes" that make you think they are being irresponsible\immature in the first place...?

Here is the difference between being a pro athlete and your job at a call center...

The people that write the checks are the consumers...Every single player is their own individual company...They are basically independant contractors.. If WE as the fans don't trip or feign outrage over irrelevant sh1t there is no middle man that can create sometype of moral code that they must live by...Not even the owners.. Because at the end of the day their main objective is to get paid...Which is why the Cincinnati Bengals can make millions in profits by employing a bunch of savages..

Out here in my damn drawls
Just like other people in the world it takes time....Case in point I am In the Army (16 years in) when I get a new PVT I do not expect them to know It all 18-23 I understand that they leaving home for the first time and need some time to get right.

I feel like being the face of a team or a good player where a mic is put in there face all the time you will slip up or at a club you will slip up. Its just youth.

They have people invested in them, their brand, and their reputation, so the choices they make are on them whether they want it or not. They can act irresponsible, but the reality is that society isn't going to treat them like kids ( especially brothas), so it's really in their own best interest to man up and use common sense

But I'll stick around for their fukkery in the mean time :youngsabo:
