This is sad brehs.. Black women better denounce this shyt quick. Where's Janelle Monae and company at? And that shyt was broadcast on Apple Music:gucci:

We looking real funny in the light right now. Alot of ya'll was co-signing Cardi too with this shyt. I knew where it was leading to
Janelle's a hypocrite her damn self. She was just shaking her ass to the Snoop/DMX Verzuz battle, this after saying she was done listening to the misogynistic music from male rappers

Imagine getting ignoring the absolute degeneracy that has been a large part of Rap music for the last few decades unless it’s women singing about their p*ssy. I bet it’s no more vulgar than some of your favorite tracks.
:stopitslime:
what male song in the past 10 years is as vulgar as this that also ranked high on the charts for the mass to hear

With all due respect, you were barely alive during that era whilst I was.

Yes you had your Lil Kims and Foxy Browns, but you also had your Queen Latifahs, MC Lytes and Lauryn Hill... who was far ahead of the competition (Of both men and women).

And whilst there was gangsta rap, there was also De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest etc.

The point is, there was balance back then. Now these female rappers are being held as paragons of female empowerment.

Acting like a whore is not synonymous with that. As I said, I wouldn’t want to have a daughter in this era. Just my honest opinion.

It’s not PC to say but most men and women feel that way. It’s not because we value girls less as a whole (although some do in more patriarchal cultures), but because they are way more susceptible to vices.

With boys, if you keep them off the streets and away from gangs, for the most part you’re fine. Raising girls? The amount of obstacles and ills of society you have to try and protect them from is scary.

I disagree with the last paragraph. I work with/manage a lot of young men and I can assure you they aren't doing any better than young women out here. Men are just as influenced by the current culture. I'm not sure why someone would think they aren't.

I’ll be depressed if I have a son in this era.
:scust:
We went from Common to NBA Youngboy.

Like Lil Kim wasn’t rapping about her p*ssy and male rappers weren't rapping about bytches and selling crack in the same time frame .

If you are trash, you will raise trash.

Most of the Coli is GMB so I hope you don’t have children at all. The Black community doesn’t need more broken homes which is a far bigger problem than rap music.

the best selling male rappers are not that vulgar (jcole, Kendrick, Kanye, Drake)

The best selling female rappers are all vulgar (cardi, meg, nicki minaj)

Females can try to play the hoe game all they want but it usually doesn't work out for them without them getting burned in some way (STDs, kids, getting played by men)

They all eventually look to get out the game at some point and will want to a have a high value man take care of them. (No matter what women say they all innately desire this)

But no decent man wants to have anything to do with a whore that's been ran through outside of getting a nut. The extremely attractive hoes that do get wifed by some simp usually don't stay married very long.

I'm honestly done with these 2 bytches. not that i ever listened to their shyt anyway but not even gonna enter a thread where they're mentioned anymore...

what they're doing right now is mad irresponsible. they are RICH and FAMOUS and they're peddling this hoe narrative to BLACK WOMEN (yes, black women) that being a hoe is acceptable and should be embraced...

:stopitslime:

don't they understand how much influence they wield on young impressionable BLACK GIRLS (yes, black girls)

fukk apple music too with that roundtable shyt i'm actually heated about this it's wrong on so so so many levels

J. Cole is a best selling rapper.
:mjlol:

Kanye is every bit as vulgar. Drake is a Pop star.

Dababy and NBA Youngboy are extremely popular and they are just as bad.

It’s also funny how I’m being called a whore and a bytch by posters when I’m a virgin, I don’t so drugs, and I rarely drink. I’m not a fan of any of these artist or rap music in general. I’m just a hypocrite.

I’m a young woman and I’ve never been under threat of being influenced by these women because my parents are the greatest influence in my life. I have no idea what you all are talking about.

We are comparing the biggest male rappers to the biggest female rappers.

Dababy and Youngboy while successful, are no where near the biggest rappers despite streaming numbers they can not sell out an arena themselves or headline their own tour of strictly 5,000+ capacity venues themselves.

J Cole, Kendrick and Drake are the 3 biggest rappers right now. They are not vulgar like the 3 biggest female rappers.
