I see why yall attack everyone who denounces the democratic party from the left. Yall in here tacticly defending a standard where people cannot house and transport themselves even with full time employment in a nation that has the means for that not to be the case .

That "get better skills" is not a scalable model on a societal level and that is obvious.

The national Democratic party themselves kept saying how they weren't going to change anything . The democrats are the new conservative party forreal. And yall right there with em

The problem with this argument is a lot of folks make it out of poverty every day. Or is that a wrong assessment?

No one ever makes bad life choices right? Is that a wrong assessment?

Hell if we go by that argument, fighting the 'system' falls under bootstrap logic. "You just gotta fight the system breh." Meanwhile that also takes time and money.

It’s only an extremely tiny minority of people that make it out of poverty and it isn’t due to them working harder than everyone else, it’s usually luck or a proper support system.

Investing in yourself isn’t easy because investing is a long term plan for people that have short term needs. When you’re barely able to afford basic living expenses on a month to month basis, you don’t have the opportunity to invest your time or effort into classes/trades/etc.

90% of the people are a single vehicle issue way of being out of a job and the US public transportation system is an absolute shyt show.

Or a missed insurance payment putting a restriction on their driving license. Or any number of issues that arise.

You have any sources to back your claim of extremely tiny minority of people making out of poverty?

What's the percentage and reason?

Are you basically saying most people are permanently stuck in poverty and might as well give up or not even try to escape poverty?

See how brainwashed people are?
I worked at Walmart for 9 an hour.
I went to school for tens of thousands of dollars to come out making…STILL NOT A LIVABLE WAGE. :mjlol:
You can't take anything he says seriously. He's one of the most ignorant posters on here.

But I do make a liveable wage, which is why I said im way up now. I hope i can hit $120k in 2 years.:lupe:

The cycle of poverty is a economic theory research by economists, educational psychologists, government agencies etc

What would you do if you were in his exact position?

Personally the military.

It's one of the few places where someone else will cover his healthcare, living expenses, transport, and living. This would give him the Gap that he needs to actually get a savings and plan to do something other than go to work everyday for the sake of being able to go to work.

But obviously this is a lot riskier than it used to be because of this weird Iran fckery. But he might have a better time if he aims for the Coast guard:francis:

At one point in an American history, a person in his place in life would have the option of the Peace corps or the youth service, but Trump did everything in his power to dismantle both.
