isnt the air force the best branch to join? the best benefits right?
Prior to 2026, yes. Even today they still have the best benefits but they've lost their safety because of drones. From my perspective it kind of defeats the purpose of having great benefits if a Iranian shahed136 drone can still touch you.

These drones are targeting air facilities. And they're targeting missile launch sites. And they are going straight through all the radar defenses because they fly low and are slow. they can go straight into a Air Force base. Previously the Air Force was safe because they were safe behind radar and all these extra defenses provided by the army or the Navy or the Marines. But these drones have made those defenses useless. I'd compare it to how a knight was safe because they had armor but that armor became useless the minute the bullet was invented. :francis:

The only safe place I can see is the Coast guard. By definition it is nowhere near the battle arena. Unless some country was silly enough to actually wage a war against the US on US territory , it seems like a safe bet : :hubie:

That’s an Engineer as well, asked to work 7 days a week 10+ hour shifts.

Sounds like a lovely company.

Additionally, remember we here in Cali have State Tax on top of Federal tax. So it’s more like under $30k/year. Throw benefits on top of that and those paychecks were shyt.

It’s recommended to make about $70k (after taxes) to comfortably live in LA by yourself because price of everything is expensive. Ontario is a little to the east of LA, but gets OC prices for everyday purchases. $24/hour should be more appropriate for the location.

That whole reddit post is irrelevant. Kimberly Clark doesn't run their warehouses, they contract them to 3PLs. So the culture that engineer is speaking on has absolutely nothing to do with the culture of NFI.

That's like people who tell you they work for Delta but they actually work for Unifi.

Warehousing is one of the last areas where you can actually work your way up and have mobility if you put in a minimal amount of effort. NFI has warehouses all over the country, if he didn't like it there he could have used them to move to a different area, work that job, and then look for something else.

But naw, people just wanna do the bare minimum and expect everything to just fall into their lap. Get your ass up and move if thinks aren't shaking right where you are!

Man FUKK THAT WHERHOUSE and FUKK THAT COMPANY.

A lot of yall still on that bootstrap shyt still not realizing where we are as a society.

Only folks I feel bad for are the TWENTY other employees (or 19) that lost thier jobs.

But that in and of itself shows how fukked up that place is, no way its staff should be that small and still paying that low for that big of a facility.

The whole "just get another job" thing is becoming less and less realistic.

It's a fundamentally broken system

And when a system is broken you get more and more results like this.

Yall gonna be see more and more of this type shyt until the system is corrected or rebuilt :yeshrug:
