My question for those of you who saw this:

Is there a plot? The trailers make it look more like a documentary of frontline warfare. I don't know if I'm interested in just seeing 2 hours of dudes getting shot with no real plot.
The film is based on true events. You have a few personalities but as far as a plot I'd say....

Its more on showing the brutality of war and immersing you in that experience. the plot is basically a sniper group in the iraq war is ambushed while supporting ground forces and they have to survive and escape.

That song tho was big back in the day always heard it everywhere too :whew:
Movie was brutal too

....of course somebody a few rows back saw them vanilla cheeks and screamed out "GOTTTT DAMMMMM BIIIIITTTTCHHHH " and then grunted like Master P. . . . but once that thing got tossed inside - the whole crowd was silent til the end credits .. . .

...one thing that distracted me. . .

. . in front of the gate outside, . .. . the detached limbs pretty much stayed in the same spot and looked the same despite 3 or 4 "shows of force" by the fighter plane droppin knowledge . . . the way it sounded in IMAX you would think those things would have flown at least two blocks down the strip at a minimum ..

This was fire, superb direction and all the actors were incredible. One of those movies you only watch once. It felt very very real, it was cool seeing more realistic military movements and how they worked together.

For “shows of force” the jets don’t actually get as close to the ground as depicted in the film, they usually do it between 500-1000 feet above ground level. If they did fly as close as depicted in the film it would still only generate enough force to move limbs a little or maybe roll them over, they’re too heavy and are not aerodynamic. It’s enough force to send small debris flying like small rocks and paper etc. The intimidation factor is mostly through the sound and speed. Though the jets actually fly slower when they do this because it increases the noise.
