He still has great vision too, but he's better off when he's looking to score and so is the rest of the team. That assists and points will all be up massively next year when the farewell is over and the take over begins.

People don't understand, this year was a tank. There was no need to win games at all. Why try and make the playoffs when you're gonna get bounced in the first anyways? If you make the playoffs, or get close to it, you give up draft position. Byron wasn't brought in to win. He was brought in to take the blame for losses, and not playing the young guys right away. And there wasn't any need to play them immediatley and chance one of them getting hurt like Randle did last year. The plan has been to get that top 3 pick again and build from there. Its not the tradtional Laker way of doing things, but sometimes you have to take step back to take two forward.
