In the past most/many of the employees/professors would live around the AUC but that changed.
I hate telling people what to do with their money but the Westside of ATL is or was literally the Harlem of the South if you look at the history. NO real reason alumni of AUC schools dont have the surrounding area looking like the Black buckhead neighnorhood wise. The westside has literally all the barebones to be the poster example of black excellence in America. Outside of the homes and busiensses that employ people in larger numbers, that part of town could have a private owned black hospital and a private black owned and run k-12 private school.
At the end of the day i dont care where blacks move in the metro, im just like if we all gonna move to an area lets at least build some infrastructure that can put people to work and provide for those in the community. Most black neighborhoods has a few mom and pop businesses that employ less than 8 ppl and tons of big box retail. At the end of the day im not trying to tell people what to do but how long will we go without maximizing the potential the city and metro in general has?
