Nasogastric Tubes are inserted routinely in hospitals, and I have seen little old ladies have nasogastric tubes inserted in them, and they don't react in the same way as Mos Def did...

They do complain of discomfort, because of the sensation of having a tube through nose and into your stomach, but it's not anything as extreme as Mos Def...

My point is that the procedure, on its own, is NOT that drastic...Of course, the other variables present in Guantanamo Bay are VERY different that those of a typical hospital setting...

This the same thing as putting a NG tube in. It's very common in hospitals. While it is very uncomfortable, it aint painful enough to be crying over like that when your a grown man. I've seen little kids have NG tubes placed, and not have mos def reaction.
