I wouldn't call it weirdo, but he's right, we need to separate this shiit.

Just because folks are "rapping" doesn't make what they are doing Hip-Hop. It stifles these young artists who to me are making Hip-Hop inspired music, but it's not Hip-Hop.

It's not wack shiit, it's just different. And that's why the need for separation.

"different" is a ghost term for wack.

All that backpack trap rap attack garbage or menstruation cycle rap in the form of Drake and new Kanye needs to go.

There are very few artists today that are doing the genre justice e.g. Vince Staples or Kendrick Lamar

To you it's wack because it's been presented as Hip-Hop. And there in lies the problem.

For someone like me who is 33, when I hear the Young Thugs and so on. I know I'm not listening to "Hip-Hop", so I appreciate it for what it is.

But honestly it's the laziness off the industry for labeling everything young Black people make as Hip-Hop or R&B, when it's clearly not.

bruh it is wack regardless of its labelling

but I see what you mean when you make that distinction...rather than it being wack hip-hop, it just isn't hip-hop because hip-hop by definition cannot be wack. I see what you're saying.

how would you describe the music though if you're trying to assign it a genre?
