As good as KD is, the entire Warriors' offensive identity depends on Steph Curry. That's why they barely miss a beat when KD is out but play a more simplistic iso-heavy system when KD plays and Steph is out.
It comes from all the haters saying Durant has clearly passed Lebron since his team beat Lebron's team.
Have the Cavs lose so many guys that Korver is #2 in minutes and Nance/Zizic are Lebron's top fellow scorers, and three threads immediately get made blaming it on Lebron.
Have the Warriors lose Curry (but still have Finals MVP Durant, DPOY Green, and top 3-and-D in the game Klay), and people are saying, "Duh, Durant needs more help."

Warriors lost an hour of sleep as well with the time change and they had to travel to a different time zone. It wasn't a back 2 back but it probably felt like that to them.
Plus the warriors are probably looking to get the 2nd seed to ensure they can play portland in the second round again instead of either the spurs or thunder in round 2.
