Same impression I got. He knows these cacs will run wild if it become the typical cops harrassing a nikka story and doesn't want that bullshyt around the team right now.

while i agree about how he seemed when telling the story, that 'dont wanna be a distraction' doesnt fly....this team is probably gonna sweep the west, and rest while waiting on the cavs/celtics winner, so they would be fine....

if he didnt want it to be a distraction, he shouldnt have told the story....what happened to him was bullshyt, and people are gonna talk about it....so there is nothing wrong with him pointing out the bullshyt....in fact, cause of the position he in (acting head coach of a team going to the finals), this was the perfect time to call out the bullshyt.....he couldve helped bring more light to that type of bullshyt, instead of laughing it off.....

I think Mike Brown was upset about the situation but laughed it off uncomfortably because he didnt want a 3 minute news story to turn into a "distracting headline" for a team that is on track to win a championship.

Its easy for us to sit on the sidelines and criticise him for not dissing the police but we arent in his shoes. The guy is probably stressed as hell. Hes auditioning for a future coaching job, im sure his mind is racing 100 miles per hour in general right now.

this is why i dont agree with the distraction angle....how would him pointing out that bullshyt be distracting, but draymond kicking people in the nuts, kd/kerr/the warriors organization calling out shaq, draymond talking about everything/body, etc. not be distracting?...to answer: it wouldnt be.....this team is focused and on their way to a 3rd straight finals appearance....talking about this, especially after the kaep situation (which many of them talked about), wouldnt have been a distraction, and wouldve been a great chance to put more light on the bullshyt that goes on...

The only thing I learned about this is when you not a poor or average black person the police give you multiple chances...

First cop told him to stop and he kept going...poor nikka might get shot right there...

Second cop pulled up and told him to stop...poor nikka definitely getting shot right here second cop gonna say he felt like first cop was in danger and the vehicle was a weapon...
