They're not better without Durant, but they're better with Curry as the focal point. As well as Durant has played this season, the team as a whole was never "on" like they were the past couple years.

Everyone forgot Curry was the best player in the league the past two seasons and he's starting to remind people again. When Durant comes back, Curry needs to remain the focal point.

To be fair, I think it had more to do with Curry and Kerr than it did Durant.
