JR was huge in game 7 last year ..he had 8 straight points at the start of the 3rd (2 threes) when the warrios were up by 8, and lookin to put the game away.
Stepping up is not havin a 20 point game..its making timely shots. Even bum ass shump had that 4-point play in game 7.
JR was 2-8 from three in that game. If he had missed one of those shots he would have been fukking 1-8.
Going 25% from three when the only thing you do on offense is shoot threes is NOT huge. You shoot 8 threes, you have to hit 2 of them sometime...his two came at the beginning of the third. That wasn't any more "timely" than the shot he missed right before the half when they were down 7, or the shot he missed right after his streak, or the shot he missed with 5 left in the 3rd and the Cavs down 1, or the shot he missed with 6:30 left in the game and the game tied.
Game 3 last year, Game 6 last year, Game 3 this year, Game 4 this year, those were good games for JR. All home games. Hit 4-5 threes at a 40% clip, he's done his job, that's really stepping up and giving them a chance to win. But when you take 13 shots to get to 12 points, you're not coming up huge, you ain't even pulling your own weight. You're just not sucking.
