Was 2003 the year of the Roc??? Top Hip Hop Albums of 2003

The Ownerz was the album I anticipated the most...and even though it was disappointing...I still played the shyt out of it. Looking back I'd give album of the year to Jay or LB - the Freeway album had great songs but was uneven. And I thought Technique dropped in 2004? That was an amazing album. I remember getting the cd home and seeing the album insert artwork and thinking "this guy's not fukking around". Oh - and DI was my guilty pleasure that year! Those beats...

Overall though...looking at that list...pretty disappointing year if you ask me.

You can stan Jay all you want, but you can't deny GRODT was clearly the Album of 2003

Commercially, maybe but I would put about 10 of the albums listed by OP ahead of it.

Thats a gem right there! I fukked with that album hard. Ain't heard it for a long time, i may have to dig that one out.

The roc gave us a near classic every 3 months...aftermath has only 2 cds i can remember from that year an they were both from gunit...grodt and b4m
