I mean in any way.
I remember when Nas was on hot 97 the day Stillmatic drop someone (maybe Angie Martinez) asking Nas if other people who were scared of dissing Jay feel inspired to go at Jay post Ether. I hear people talk like Takeover was this career ending knockout of a diss and that Ether is some kind of unexpected miracle.
50 can't spit like Nas and Jay. Never could and never will. I feel like he must have been high when he said he could have gone at both of them for the throne. If we're talking lyrically I sure as hell don't think 50 could ever dent him. In terms of personal relationship the fact that Nas had 50 on the Nastradamus tour and doing songs with him...like 50 is sonned postionallly in regards to Nas.
I feel like some people really do fear 50. I know Irv, Jay, and Joe go out of their way to say nobody is...but there do seem to be repercussions to saying certain things. Ask Slow. Hell 50 was probably going to whoop Trav's ass before Meek diffused the moment. What's funny is Un Kasa was saying 50 had the type of eyes on Ross that he was fully aware of when Ross arrived to do the "rockin that shyt" remix video shoot and could have sent the word right then. In ANOTHER story Un said him and Juelz and others say Nas shooting the "made you look" video and Nas look completely unfazed when they came by. I also remember Nas laughing off the thought of Nore or any of his guys doing anything in response to that power 105 interview. We also heard a million versions of the Nas/Pac encounter...and none of them portray Nas in a cowardly way.
What about power? 50 brags about stuff like being able to hold back Styles P's album or how he was Game's boss. But Nas doesn't work for 50 or Interscope in any way. Hell Dr Dre was working with Nas during the Nas/50 beef. Even with the money and sales I don't think 50 had any type of ability to make a power move on Nas.
What about this whole thing that 50 supposedly ended Ja's career? Hell some say he did it to Cam'ron as well. I remember Lil Wayne saying 50 lived to beef and ate off it. I also heard Cam say the reason that he kept dissing Nas so much and did it so quickly that he knew Nas could kill everything with a single song.
Before I talk in circles and make this way too long I'll just emphasize how much both seemed to brush off one another. I remember Nas talking about how 50 only had 2 albums and wasn't on the level to go at him like Jay. Years later I also remember Nas saying 50 wasn't even on Mobb Deep's levels...which says something because I also distinctly remember Nas calling Mobb Deep his sons. Nas once literally said he was more interested in seeing what Oprah had to say about 50. I also remember 50's XXL interview in response to "Queens get the money" and 50 saying that neither he or the public had any interest in Nas anymore. I also remember years earlier 50 on hot 97 saying to Flex that "take it slow" aka "don't body yaself" was a dud.
