Considering his biggest hit came out in the 80s

Night and Day is my favorite song of all time, but I have to admit that Al hit because he had all the right tools at his exposal instead of his "talents"

OP talking 90s and Al B came out in the 80s. :mjlol:

I wish this new generation would focus on these billshyt artists thats current and stop trying to discuss real music.

It's dope Al would go on to do some of his best work behind the scenes.
I think he was heavy on Usher's debut album
Right. All his hits were like in 88 :heh:

My big sister used to love that nikka :russ:

He couldn’t sing worth a damn tho. But dammit Nite and Day will forever be a classic. He was running in those same circles as Heavy D, Teddy Riley, Puffy, and Pete Rock and them. He has a late nite radio show these days that’s pretty dope
Man me too. Women Loved that dude! They didn't care that he couldn't sing. They would say as much

It’s obvious dude couldn’t sing worth a damn and was the product of a strong writing and production team.

Dude had the Quincy Jones master stimmy, pretty much was an industry plant imo

Discuss.

Young boy you have no idea what you are talking about :heh:

He had more musical ability due to his writing and producing but he probably opened the floodgates for R&B singers who can't sing being super successful
