Aenold films are classics but no matter what, when Rock is in a movie, people go to see it.

The numbers don’t support that conclusion, unless you’re talking in the extreme literal sense. The Rock by himself isn’t putting up numbers like that. It’s always the Rock + something else. He doesn’t have a film like Hancock, where he and he alone is the selling point.

You sure you wanna go with this definition w/ no qualifier? Cuz he’s behind at least RDJ, Chris Evans, Scar Jo, and Zoe Saladina, if we cap it at the 2010s. Hell, once Avatar 2 and 3 drop he’ll be behind Sam Worthington. And if we’re gonna disqualify the marvel franchise stuff, you’ve gotta disqualify the Fast and Furious stuff.

Again, the Rock’s highest grossing non-franchise films are San Andreas and Rampage. They made $423 million and 428 million worldwide. Terminator 2 made 520 million in 1992 money, when tickets were cheaper, meaning it sold way more tickets. Hancock, arguably Smith’s last “big” role made $629 million in 2008 on nothing but being a Will Smith Film.

The Rock is a star, no doubt. But the numbers on the films where he is the selling point aren’t comparable to Arnold, who was hitting 300 million+ on an R-Rated film in the 90s.

1. Arnold was facing prime sly, prime van damme , prime bruce willis, prime steven seigal,, prime tom cruise etc and thats just action genre lol. Arnold had way more competition.

2. Arnold has good movies, classic movies and iconic movies. The rock probably has one decent/good movie lol
