No, it'd be worse if he did smash. He did exactly what I would've done and that's just leave a situation that you know is going to get messy. I've done it, I don't like doing it, but some girls just aren't worth explaining your reasons of leaving. If he told her anything pertaining to, "You keep asking me the same question" she'd just turn it right back around. Sometimes, it's just best to leave at the first sign. He wasn't even all that into her, probably saw an easy smash, realized that she was a headache ,and bounced. to him. I know way too many people who stay with chicks even though all the signs are there.
