You already lost at this point.. once the bill is paid, nothing you say going forward is going to matter. It's a principle thing, Britt should have known to never try dude like that and since she didn't she now has to learn the hard way at the expense of her friend being embarrassed. Britt should have pulled out her card with the quickness as that's HER best friend.. smh.

Whether freely given or commanded, respect is a must. People often trade it to save face among friends or acquaintances. Anyone that puts you in these types of positions aren't people you want to be hanging you with.

I hear what you are saying and can somewhat agree with your position, but my point is that if I paid, then that means that I showed some compassion towards Britts best friend. Regardless of who pays, the bill has to be paid and I would not want ol girl to go to jail over an unpaid food bill regardless of how I feel about her as a person or Britts unreasonable expectation of myself.

If I did pay for whole tab, then I would need to be reimbursed, even if I got installments. My relationships with Britt would change depending on whatever is discussed at that moment between myself and her and I would not do anything financial with her homegirls let alone any of her friends until the matter in question was resolved and possibly forever, depending on mitigating factors.

Other than that, I agree with you, but I also believe that people need learning lessons in order to evolve and grow and this situation is a teachable moment t evolve and grow. *shrugs*

Assuming this is a real story no he wasn't wrong.

I would have dropped his chick after that because she and her friend knew what they were doing. If he still with her then that is on him.

A breh wouldn't be wrong in this scenario, but I have a hard time believing this is true. Making up fake gender warmongering scenarios on twitter is the wave right now and this story sounds sketchy af.

1) He didn't have the money to cover her friend's bill, yet he had it like that enough to go to an obviously expensive restaurant and cover him and his girl's portion? I mean, not that he should've been planning to, but if ONE person can rack up a $131 tab, clearly this ain't Chili's so why go in the first place if it's breaking the bank?

2) A $131 tab is absurdly, almost unbelievably expensive for an individual. Most I've been able to rack up at even the higher ends restaurants here is maybe $80. And that's with lavish, indiscriminate ordering. And I doubt this girl was downing bourbon and steaks all night, so what gives?

3) I know there have been cases where a chick has gotten salty cause a dude didn't pay for her little friend's $20 app + drink at Friday's or some shyt, but I don't know ANY women who would expect their dude to trick off on a friend to this extent. Since it's obvious he's not balling like that - and she would know this - why the fukk WOULD she?

Most bytches I know would've either immediately worked out some agreement where their dude would be paid back ASAP (paypal, cashapp....SOMETHING!) or...... more likely they would've sat in the car while the other bytch washed dishes or some shyt to pay her tab because they'd rather die than see they nikka shell out that much cash on someone who wasn't them.

Only way I see a girl getting big mad like that is if she tried to work out something where dude could be reimbursed quickly and he still refused (because he really didn't have the funds). In which case, I could see a chick being "embarrassed" because her dude had just made it obvious to outsiders that he was broke and frontin.

3) Why is there no ending? Since the situation is clearly over and done with, what happened to the rest? Okay, so he told ol girl to call Chase.......then what? When first person stories like this end ambiguously I'm always suspicious because they're intentionally leaving essential details out for whatever reason.
