It was a NY classic. My cousins were teenagers in the 90s so they would babysit me and my Lil bro. They played Bootcamp clik,Wutang,CNN,Mob Deep,Fugees. My favorite track on that CNN war report is Iraq See the world. :mjgrin:I vividly remember them playing that song all the time.:mjcry:

Bootcamp Clik had classic east coast albums as well.
Enta da Stage by Black Moon
Da Shinin by Smif-N-Wessun
Nocturnal by Heltah Skeltah
Da Storm by OGC
So much heat coming out the five boroughs in the 90s.:wow: I love my city. I was a wee child at the time but thank God I was introduced to this by my cousins.:to:

That album helped bolster NORE which led to his commercial success. It's a classic for old New York heads, but in 1997 NOTHING was overshadowing the NO LIMIT & SHINY SUIT era.

It wasn't that popular in NC from what I remember. It was one of those albums that only the cool kids were up on like that. And Nas and Mobb had a rabid fan base in NC back then. If you was a fan of east coast street rap then it definitely would've been on your radar though.

I imagine it was a lot more popular in NYC.

:wtf: first time ever hearing this shyt

When I see comments like this I kinda get why people say there's an east coast bias with certain NY albums. People around my way wasn't really rocking with Nore until he got away from Trag and starting hanging with Nas and Jungle. His first solo album was everywhere. The solo was dope but I definitely prefer War Report. But that being said, @L.Deezy's comment ain't really that crazy if you saw how this played out in real time.

Let's not even dip into classic rock and roll, soul music and country music. The greatest MUSIC is not always the highest selling. This goes for movies, plays, books. Whatever

Content>>>>>>>>>>>>appeal to the masses

I think there should be a medium there.

I think a lot of purist-based minds have a way of automatically disregarding a lot of music with mass appeal, if it doesn't fit their mold.

the result of that, is guys like @bigbadbossup2012. say what you want about em, but I agree with his main premise. its just that guys like him are so tired of the media & east coast biases, that they have manifested themselves into extremists.

I'm just disappointed, that @bigbadbossup2012 seems to have a bit of contradiction in his agenda. u cant call out CNN, while turning a blind eye to UGK, 8ball & MJG.

It's crazy but I do find that the reunion was their best album. Nore bumps up his raps when he's with Capone. And when Capone came home, he's was spitting some shyt!! These nikkas got one of the best beat selections in the game when they together

Maybe pone is the brains of the operation or something. But both CNN albums are Nore at his best

that good ole competition.

and yea, the reunion album was a str8 banger. I used to say it was better than the war report too.

too bad, it just came out a lil too late.
