It was forgettable. I liked the chronic alot better than 2001 but 2001 had some landmark songs that kept it in the game.
Compton doesnt have to be classic but it has no moments so people dont care for it.

Agree to disagree, i thought "Animals" was definitely a standout...wish they woulda made a vid for that

nikkas want this album to be good so bad....it's not.

Worse than that, it's completely forgettable. Swear to God you was bumping anything off that motherfukker before you came in this thread. You weren't.

Rappers drop duds, it happens....stop trying to make this shyt work. :camby:

Compton had 2 objectives:

1. Get n*ggas to stop asking, talking and thinking about Detox.
2. Introduce Anderson .Paak

It accomplished both.

No party songs, fun bangers, or smoke-&-ride music from a man who produced some of the best and most recognizable fun, party, riding music of all-time.

We were so used to him giving us :dj2: :smoker::bustback::drunk: and he just gave us :lift::yes::cheers::old:

There was no swagger about it. There wasn't a "cool" factor. No sauce. It was just one of the GOAT producers presenting well-produced music with no flavor.

He gave us cold, expensive caviar while we'd been starving for the finest home-grilled BBQ steaks with lots of sauce and a pound of the finest herb

I like the album. I'm not trying to force it on nobody. I said a wile back its my opinion. I don't like a lot of music that nikkas praise on here I just keep it movin. And I put that on everything I love and all my loved ones I been bumping the Compton album THE SAME DAY before this topic even showed up here. If I'm lying I hope everything I love die.

The album was great IMO..Compton was more of a musical memoir for Dr. Dre's career than the usual blunts, 40s and bytches theme that was showcased on The Chronic and 2001. A more mature album for those that followed Dre throughout his 30 year producing career.

I guess no one noticed that throughout the whole album the focal point of that album was the cohesiveness of rhyme flow and soundscapes. Nothing rehashed or generic..everything song had it's own feel.
Ima have to check it now
