We're I'm from other then Juelz Santana and Cam'Ron for a brief period no one really cared about Dipset as collective. G Unit and Wu Tang were way more popular. Heck the Hot Boys had more of an impact in my city and their run was pretty brief.

It's Wu, but Dipset is second and G-Unit is close to them at their prime if we're just going off brand power and recognition, along with influence.

What’s this?

He's a diehard Wu stan. I think 95% of my negs from him came from him thinking I was hating on Wu and trolling him about them lol. My nikka doesn't sway in the wind about them at all

Yes without a doubt, that powerful music. Killa the leader and face of the movement, Jimmy the enforcer had the set covered with that gang shyt, nikkas loved at that time, Juelz having the ladies on lock cause they thought he was cute, they had the game from every angle. Even people wanting to dress like them. As hot as G-unit may have been, nobody wanted to dress like those goofys
I would put on that list the Native Tongue movement "collective"they pioneered the back pack ,hipster, with a dash of Afrocentric coolness vibe in hip hop in my opinion

The Native Tongues is a collective of late 1980s and early 1990s hip-hop artists known for their positive-minded, good-natured Afrocentric lyrics, and for pioneering the use of eclectic sampling and later jazz-influenced beats. Its principal members are the Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, and A Tribe Called Quest. Wikipedia
Origin: New York, NY (1987)
Genre: Alternative hip hop
Associated acts: Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Chi-Ali, Dres, Vincent Mason, More

I think people forget how big Wu-tang was in their prime. They had clothing stores, were in movies, had nikkaz wearing Wallabees & all kinds of shyt. nikkaz were even buying all the sub groups albums just becuz it had a Wu logo on it. Dip set wasn’t even close to them
