Everything about it was a popularity contest, that’s normal. It gets harmful because the teachers feed into that sh*t and start GIVING grades based on popularity.

work is definitely like high school. i have no desire to keep up with the “wow, he’s so cool” approval games.

when you’ve been alone for so long this social shyt means nothing. i stay work cordial and kim.

but yeah i was the class clown and no one truly respects it. outside of the initial “popularity,” people think you can’t rebrand and try to play with you as life moves on

Once i graduated high school, i never looked back. Didnt care too much for it. shyt was kind of wack. College was way more exciting especially the learning parts of it. Writing papers, homework and etc may have been stressful but that shyt was fun because i was learning information. Didnt care for the social aspects of college either. Some of these colleges are sitting on gold mines of information and knowledge. Dont be afraid to go these college libraries, reach out to these college professors, scholars and etc.

However, all these institutions are more about programming than gaining information, intelligence, think tanks and etc. High school especially was about programming

For real. Its programming to be on the hamster wheel or whatever totem pole of the american caste system. This is why they sabotage certain demographics education. Seen and experienced it first hand. Overall, its about someones drive to succeed. A part of it is someone thinking about their own best interest.

A lot of folks that were in high school 20 years ago regret going straight to college because of how they were rushed to it straight from high school. Most got rushed into debt and financial obligations where they have NO CHOICE but to do any job to survive. And if you do have a career, youre still on the hamster wheel because your career becomes your life. Im starting to realize many people hate their jobs and dont live out their true passions in for those who succeed in what work they do.

Just stay out of debt and manage your finances. Work towards having your own and being independent where you dont have to be a slave to the labor force and be economically viable for yourself. Think for yourself and your best interest. Dont follow the program that theyre setting up for you to follow. Treat life like chess. Brain storm. Exercise your mind. Feed it well because thats whats going to save you and what they will use against you by feeding it poison. Not everything we learned in high school we needed to know and we didnt learn everything we needed to learn in high school, sadly. I had some great teachers though who went against the system where i actually learned something. Shoutouts to them.

High school is the first glimpse of a social hierarchy before entering the real world

Drama, Hive-minded mentality (group acceptance), The drive for getting clout (external validation), Social status. These are the common behaviors one will notice when they step into the institution called high school.

Within that hierarchy, people treat those on the higher ranking more favorable than those on the lower totem-pole

The social misfits were ostracized because they didn't conform to the group's standards. Outside of high school, misfits were ostracized because of not conforming to society's norms. People don't associate with those with a lower social ranking, it tarnishes their reputation.

Remember the popular kids? They were acknowledged because they had social status. These were usually the jocks, football team/basketball team, potheads, musicians, class clown etc.

In High School, your status was currency. Being popular granted you access to the baddest broads, exclusive parties, drugs and a lot of friends.

In High School, I was very popular. I was between class clown x dancer. As a result, I gained a following. The funny thing is I never was part of any clique nor wanted too. I was drifter that floated between social groups.

Has high school changed? No. It just evolved. High school never ends when you graduate, it just transformers into everyday life.

High School taught me that social status gives you better odds of survival. Having notoriety gives one importance and power.
