Although I like this show, I think Doug and Carey are good examples. Doug worked at that fake UPS (I think it as called IPS) and Carey was a secretary, yet they owned a nice house in Queens. Didn't Deacon and Kelly live in an apartment and they couldn't afford a house for a while?

Homer has mentioned it a few times on the show so yeah he knows being a white adult male gives him priviliges. One time Lisa and Grandpa were complaining about nobody listening to them and Homer came in and said something like "I am a white male age 25-55 everybody listens to me." They go at some serious issues in a funny way when they can.

That "if you were in any other country in the world you would be dead by now" is a goat insult for anybody you know who is coasting through life in this country. Even as a kid I understood that fukking ether he hit Homer with.

And Bart just saying "he's got you there dad"

Frank Grimes soul was burning deep in that episode.

The episode just reminds you that hard work doesn't pay off for some people. Homer got grammys, a house, and he eating lobster dinners meanwhile Frank living in his crammed apartment eating spam most likely.

Even at Frank`s funeral, homer still winning.

I don't think this episode was making a point about white privilege since Frank is also white. They wrote this episode because they wanted to see what happens when a relatively normal person goes into the Simpsons universe and has to deal with Homer's antics.

"Homer's Enemy" was more about protagonist privilege. Homer is able to do all these amazing things and live a decent life despite being dimwitted and having no special talents. They even made the other characters in the episode a lot more forgiving of Homer's flaws, which pissed off Frank because he didn't understand how someone like Homer could be living better than him. Simply put, Frank saw through Homer and didn't see a caring, big-hearted family man. He just saw a reckless idiot who does whatever he wants without consequence.

But seriously, this episode is a GOAT candidate.
