My mom asked (told) me to bring macaroni salad to the cookout later. After I boiled the macaroni, I gave it a quick rinse with some cool water, then put it in the bowl. I then proceeded to make the macaroni salad with all the ingredients. The pasta was still smoking, and the mayo was a little runny. Was I supposed to let the pasta cool first? I wanted to make it early, and let it cool in the refrigerator for a few hours.

Am I going to kill, or make people sick if I bring this macaroni salad? Should I just go buy some? It tastes fine.

Once mayo gets hot, compounds in the condiment make it toxic...even breathing it in can kill a horse...get rid of it

Yeah bruh. If you were pressed for time you should’ve rinsed the noodles in cold water to stop the internal cooking.

Make a new batch. You will make someone sick
