I was out of the loop lately. Apparently, a few were upset with Coco, Ice T wife for wearing braids and the intricate narrative of cultural appropriation flooded social media & blogs. I randomly thought about Fergie and Gwen Stefani circa 2005. For those who forgot about these two, let’s take a blast in the past…

I can’t front, I loved their music & I periodically listen to their music from time to time when I’m suffering from nostalgic fever. In retrospect, was it cultural appropriation? If so, where were the fauxwoke pundits from Ebony magazine? Now, I won’t shyt on the sistahs because some men are on the fauxwoke shyt as well and continue to bytch about Eminem & Lyor Cohen while fukking women resembling Lena Dunham

So was it appropriation or because they had Black artists “co-sign” them, it was ok?

Think about it; imagine if they came out with their music from 05-07 in 2017? They had it “easy” if you ask me. That goes for Paris Hilton



Imagine if KK came out with a song ft. Jadakiss and Fat Joe? Im not capping for KK but the white people crossing over to Black music a decade ago + were lucky asf
